Spain's Christmas Lottery draw (El Gordo de Navidad) takes place on Tuesday 22 December 2026. A ticket share (décimo) costs €20 and El Gordo pays €400,000 per décimo. At Serviloto, official Lottery Office no. 40 in Málaga, you choose your number online, with no commission and your ticket held safely from the very first minute.
We are Lottery Office no. 40 «Ntra. Sra. de la Luz», at Avenida de la Luz, 19 (Málaga). When you buy online with us, the ticket is real and sold by an official lottery office: no middlemen, and exactly the same validity as buying it over the counter.
It happens every year: the most sought-after numbers (special dates, lucky endings, "nice" numbers) sell out weeks before the draw. Buying early is the best way to get the number you want. Fun fact: historically, 5 is the last digit that has come up most often in El Gordo, although every number has exactly the same odds.
On Tuesday 22 December 2026, from 9:00 am (Spanish time), at the Teatro Real in Madrid. Children from the San Ildefonso School sing out the prizes all morning, and the draw is broadcast live on TV and online.
Each décimo costs €20. A full ticket (billete) has 10 décimos and costs €200. One décimo wins one tenth of the prize: that's why El Gordo is €4 million per billete and €400,000 per décimo.
| Prize | Per décimo |
|---|---|
| El Gordo (1st prize) | €400,000 |
| 2nd prize | €125,000 |
| 3rd prize | €50,000 |
| 4th prize (2 numbers) | €20,000 |

| Refund (last digit of El Gordo) | €20 |
Including refunds, around 15% of décimos win a prize.
Prizes are tax-free up to €40,000 per décimo. Above that, 20% is withheld only on the amount over €40,000. A winning El Gordo décimo (€400,000) leaves you €328,000 net, the 2nd prize €108,000 and the 3rd prize €48,000. The tax is withheld when the prize is paid, so there is nothing else to do.

A décimo is still Spain's classic Christmas gift. If you give one, make sure that, if it wins, the prize belongs to the person who received it without tax problems: how to give Christmas Lottery as a gift.
